what is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a dynamic strength & conditioning methodology that combines functional movements, high intensity, and constantly varied workouts to build real‑world fitness.
It’s more than just exercise — it's a lifestyle and a community.
How Does CrossFit Work?
Functional Movements
Workouts use natural, compound movements like squats, lifts, push‑pulls, and gymnastics-style exercises. These mimic everyday activities and improve your capacity for real-life tasks.
Constantly Varied
Every session is different. You won’t do the same workout twice — one day might focus on weightlifting, the next on cardio, gymnastic skills, or a mix.
High Intensity
CrossFit workouts are designed to push you. Intensity is relative to your ability, but the aim is to maximise work done in a short time, safely.
What Can I Expect in a class?
Warm-up — mobility, movement prep
Skill or Strength Block — focus on technique or build strength
Workout of the Day (WOD) — the main session; scalable to your level
